Uncovering The #1 Secret Behind Autoimmune Diseases!

diseases No Comments »

Your immune system is responsible for guarding against harmful disease-causing pathogens, but what if we told you that sometimes your immune cells could attack your body’s organs, tissue, and cells? That’s right! Your body could confuse your healthy cells for invaders and kill them, resulting in excessive inflammation and leading to an autoimmune disorder.
In today’s video, we’ll go into detail on why and how autoimmune diseases develop!

✍️ Summary:
What is Autoimmune Disorder –
An army of various immune cells, such as macrophages, B-cells, and T-cells, usually manage an immune response. These cells produce soluble mediators (cytokines and nitric oxide) and autoantibodies. However, sometimes, instead of targeting foreign cells, these autoantibodies mistakenly attack specific parts of your body, such as your joints and skin, causing damage.

What Vitamin Deficiency puts you at a greater risk of developing autoimmune diseases?
Vitamin D! Yes, you heard that right! Known for its role in bone strengthening, vitamin D is equally essential for your immune system. And recent studies have shown growing evidence of the link between vitamin D and your immune responses.

What else causes autoimmune diseases?
Disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, type 1 diabetes, and celiac disease can be hereditary. Although it is not guaranteed that you’ll develop a disease that your parents have, a family history of a genetic disorder does increase your risk of developing that particular disease.

What causes vitamin D deficiency?
Vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin, is produced in the skin from sun exposure. So if you are a stubborn couch potato who seldom goes out of the house to enjoy some sun, you are more at risk of vitamin D deficiency.

Warning signs of Vitamin D deficiency –
Frequent infections: If you often become sick with a cold or flu, the most probable cause is vitamin D inadequacy. Since vitamin D is an essential factor that enhances your immunity, its deficiency can increase the occurrence of various illnesses.

A disease is a disorder of structure or function, you see,
With known cause and symptoms, now let’s name one per letter A to Z!
A is for asthma, this common disease affects the lungs causing,
Chest tightness, wheezing, breathlessness, night and early morning coughing!

B is for brittle bone disease, and know it is heritable,
And bone fractures with little or no cause are inevitable!
C is for chickenpox, caused by varicella-zoster virus,
It causes an itchy rash with small blisters with fluid or pus!

D is for diabetes, cell glucose absorption is broken,
Type 1 is autoimmune where you lack insulin production!
Type 2 is insulin resistance in which cells ignore your insulin!

E is for esophageal cancer, with malignant cells forming,
In the esophagus, from GERD, heavy alcohol use, smoking!
F for follicular lymphoma, blood cancer that’s slow-growing,
White blood cells cluster, so lumps in lymph nodes or organs are forming!

G for GERD, stomach acid often flows up your esophagus,
And irritating its lining can cause Barrett’s esophagus!

H for Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, the immune system goes,
To attack the thyroid’s cells so thyroid hormone production slows!
I for influenza, contagious infection of lungs, throat, nose,
It’s viral and can cause symptoms ranging from mild to severe woes!

J for juvenile dermatomyositis, inflammation,
Occurs in your blood vessels, muscles, and skin in this condition,
K for kidney disease, involves gradual loss of kidney function,
where they don’t remove waste and excess fluid for blood filtration!

L for Lou Gherig’s disease, which causes loss of muscle control,
Because on nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord it takes a toll,
And typically after diagnosis in 2-5 years it’s fatal!

M for myasthenia gravis, chronic autoimmune disease,
Especially after activity, there is muscle weakness!
N is for Norrie disease, which leads to blindness in male infants,
Often there is hearing loss and in motor skills it slows advance!

O for obesity, body fat’s in excess in the obese,
Which raises the risk of getting other health problems and disease!

P for Parkinson’s disease, movement initiation is slow,
The brain’s affected and makes patients shaky, stiff, unbalanced – whoa!
Q for Q fever, caused by bacteria, symptoms are a headache,
With fever, chills, fatigue, nausea, chest pain, stomach pain, muscle ache!

R is for rheumatoid arthritis, mostly the joints it impacts,
It’s autoimmune, brings pain and inflammation when it attacks!
S is for sarcoma, a broad group of cancers and trouble brews,
When malignant cells begin growth in bones or connective tissues!

T for tetanus, which is a kind of bacterial infection,
Featuring a toxin that causes painful muscle contraction!
It’s also called “lockjaw” since locking neck and jaw muscles is its action!

U for ulcerative colitis, which causes inflammation,
A type of IBD, it causes intestine ulceration!
V for vasculitis, blood vessels inflammation can vary,
From minor skin problems to illness affecting organs – scary!

W, whooping cough, infection of the respiratory tract!
Hacking cough then a high-pitched breath intake that sounds like “whoop” in fact!

X-linked muscular dystrophy, with cardiomyopathy,
Growing muscle weakness, respiratory insufficiency!
Y is for Yersinia Pestis infection, and plague it causes,
Fever, chills, weakness, abdominal pain, shock, bleeding, necrosis!

Z for Zika virus infection, fever and rash can arise,
As well as headaches, muscle and joint pain, swollen joints, and red eyes!
Zika virus spreads through the bite of an infected mosquito,
Infection during pregnancy can cause birth defects so you know!

And now that you’ve learned a disease for each letter from A to Z,
I’d very much appreciate it if you’d all subscribe to me!
That would help us to make more videos and give them to the world for free!

What are Autoimmune Diseases and How Do They Develop?

diseases No Comments »

What are Autoimmune Diseases? Autoimmune Diseases are caused when the immune system attacks its own cells. This video is about autoimmunity, how autoimmune diseases develop, and the symptoms they cause. Find out how autoimmune antibodies, B-cells and T-cells get made and how they get activated. Autoimmune cells are activated via molecular mimicry, bystander activation and epitope spreading. Persistent infections can increase the stimulation of the immune system over a person’s lifetime and increase the chances of activating autoimmune cells.

Autoimmune Diseases can affect one organ, as in Type I Diabetes or many organs, as in Lupus. More than 100 autoimmune disorders affect 5-10% of people worldwide.
