A common question that arises for many employees is who the personal injuries resolution board are. In this video, specialist employment solicitor, Mr Barry Crushell of Crushell Law, explains that the personal injuries resolution board is a statutory body. It was designed to examine personal injuries claims at first instance. Typically, the complainant files the details of the injuries suffered with the personal injuries resolution board, who then in turn afford the respondent an opportunity to reply. The complainant also provides medical evidence that they will be using to substantiate their complaint, as well as any documentary proof and financial receipts in respect of loss suffered. The personal injuries assessment board can make a determination as to what is just and equitable compensation. If either party, is unhappy about the recommendation, the personal injuries resolution board will afford them the opportunity to bring the matter to the Civil Courts for their consideration.
