We have uncovered evidence for a fourth phase of water beyond solid liquid and vapor. This liquidcrystalline phase forms in surprising abundance at hyhilic interfaces. Generally the phase bears negative charge while the water beyond bears positive charge — creating a battery. Radiant energy builds this phase and separates the charges. Because this phase profoundly excludes solutes like ice it has been dubbed the “exclusion zone” EZ. EZ water exists in high concentration inside cells. Its presence has shown central for cell function and appears to be critical for health.
